Iran, Belarus Weigh Plans for Joint Production of Medicines

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s minister of health and medical education said Tehran and Minsk are weighing plans to cooperate in the production of medicines.

Pointing to the upcoming visit of Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber to Belarus, Bahram Einollahi on Monday said the two countries are planning for mutual exports and joint production of medicines.

Good agreements have been made between private and public sectors of the two countries in the fields of medicines, medical equipment and machinery as well as mutual exports and joint production of medicine, he said, adding that Iran and Belarus enjoy high potentials to enhance their relations in all fields, especially in the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals.

Referring to the political breakthrough in bilateral relations and the upcoming visit of Iran’s first vice president to this European country, Einollahi expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries would lead to thwarting sanctions imposed by Western countries against Iran and Belarus.

Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber and his accompanying delegation will visit Belarus on Tuesday, October 17.
